Jurupa Valley, Riverside County
The Santa Ana River forms the southern edge of Jurupa Valley, separating it from the city of Riverside. A paved trail follows the river through cottonwoods and willows. Near the banks, the Jensen-Alvarado Ranch preserves a brick farmhouse finished in 1870, built by a Danish sea captain and his wife on what was then open ranch land.
